You may or may not have heard already--the US premiere of Quantum of Solace has been delayed one week, until November 14th, as part of the post-Harry-Potter-delay reshuffling.
Dammit, dammit, dammit!!
Well, the countdown clock above has been adjusted.
And since this upsets my delicately planned one-Bond-movie-per-week-until-the-debut time schedule, and since I'm running behind this week anyway, I'll skip this week, and bring you For Your Eyes Only next week.
Enjoy you're weekend.
Damn you, Harry Potter!!!
That's bad news, but it doesn't affect us here in the UK, as Quantum Of Solace is released on the 31st October over here!
ReplyDeleteThat's a whole fortnight before the US gets it! I'm only gloating beause it's usually the other way around.
No, God doesn't hate us -- Warner Bros. is made up of a regiment of morons. Moving Harry Potter to next summer is likely a kiss of death for it (well, it'll still make a gajillion bucks, but look at the stampede of films this summer: one or two managed to be #1 at the box office for a couple of weeks, but all the other blockbusters had one weekend in the sun, and then the machinery rolled out three or four major releases the following week).
ReplyDeleteWhy WB didn't think Harry Potter couldn't be released in November to take up the fall dead space and Thanksgiving weekend, when it's usually just drek out there is beyond me.
Even if Bond got shuffled, at least it's still on the November calendar, and so far it's the ONLY film being released then that I'm interested in.
